Yahoo.com gets over twelve million hits per
day and a lot of those are visitors to the classifieds. Open a
Yahoo FREE email account that gives you the opportunity to place 10
adverts for FREE.
Your ads will be published anywhere between six
hours and 24 hours after you submit them.
Because there are so many ads being placed each
day, your advert will probably only be on page one listing for 3 to
4 hours before it will be pushed onto page two, where it is
unlikely to be seen by anyone, any more.
So you need to replace all
your ads every 2 days - don't leave it any longer than that and do
it without fail! When you replace each ad, record how many
people viewed it, which main category and which minor category. Then
over a period of time you will begin to know which ads,
categories and sub categories produce the best results.
Replace the worst ads with new ones for testing,
until you have an arsenal of all good effective ads. Once you
have this, you will probably get 150 to 200 hits to your SFI site
each week.
Also, you will then be able to use these same
adverts in all the other free and paid sites, with little or no
alteration.
You can update them with a new headline, tweak
them and still keep a record of how many hits manually. I keep
track of the headlines and the hits from the headlines I get
since that's the biggest draw on Yahoo. Of course, you may have a
great headline with good eye appeal and if you are updating or
even replacing/adding as previously suggested, quite a
bit of your success with Yahoo will depend on the time of day
your ad is updated/added.
